The measures aim to support the production of electricity generated from new and modernised renewable installations. In the view of reducing greenhouse gas emissions, Germany has set itself targets more ambitious than those ruled at the EU level. Such measures amend the EEG approved by Commission Decision in case SA.57779 as already amended following Decision for case SA.64376. At the national level, the legislative background is provided by EEG 2023, amending EEG 2021. Also, the notified measures amend the innovation tenders included in “InnAusV” and contribute to the gas consumption reductions stated by the Energy Security Act.
