The scheme aims to promote the production of renewable energy sources in the context of the energy transition for green growth, which aims being to build a more diversified and balanced French energy model to contribute more effectively to the fight against climate change. In this respect, and in order to ensure cost efficiency to support the expansion of renewable electricity installations, the scheme introduces auctions to select renewable electricity producers. These are eligible for support when their installation reaches certain installed capacity and makes use of certain technologies.
