BAVARIAN GIGABIT DIRECTIVE

Abstract
The plan aims to provide high and symmetrical speed internet (Next Generation Access infrastructures, NGAs) in the Free State of Bavaria ("Bavaria") in the so-called "white areas" and "grey areas", i.e. areas (municipalities) where there is no fast internet (at least 30 Mbps) or where fast internet is already provided by only one network operator. The deployment of the funded infrastructure should enable a minimum symmetrical speed of 200 Mbps for households and 1 Gbps for businesses
