Sweden has a target to have no net greenhouse gas emissions by 2045. “Climate Leap” is a state aid aimed at accelerating the transition to a fossil-free society. Support was given to physical investments delivering high and sustainable climate benefits. The aim of Climate Leap was to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, contribute to the deployment and market introduction of technologies and impacts on other environmental quality objectives, health and employment. Applications for support could be made by private companies,municipalities, regions, foundations and other organisations. The aid was introduced in 2015; the current report focuses on the applications decided over the period 2020-2022.
