The Greek Superfast Broadband (SFBB) Voucher Scheme initiated under the State Aid case SA.499352, approved by the Commission in 2019. In 2020, the Commission approved a two-year extension of the duration of the scheme (i.e. the activation of the SFBB vouchers was possible until 31 March 2022) as well as the alteration of its scope to enable all enterprises to benefit from vouchers under the scheme, under the State Aid case SA.56599. With the Decision of 4th of May 2022, the Commission granted a second extension of 6 months, establishing that the activation of the SFBB vouchers will be possible until no later than 30 September 2022. This is currently filed under State Aid case SA.102127. The aim of the SFBB Voucher scheme is to address the digital divide in Greece by maximizing the take-up of NGA-based services by citizens throughout the country. The beneficiaries are individuals and undertakings who receive a new retail SFBB_Service, or upgrade an existing service to a SFBB_Service, offered by licensed Telecommunications Service Providers over any existing NGA infrastructure. The aid consists of a SFBB voucher, which beneficiaries can redeem to acquire one of the SFBB_Services listed among the approved Offers by the Telecommunications Service Providers.
