BAVARIAN GIGABIT DIRECTIVE

Abstract

The State aid aims to bring to the Free State of Bavaria (“Bavaria”) high and symmetric speed internet (Next Generation Access infrastructures, “NGAs”) in the so-called “white areas” and “grey areas”, i.e. areas (municipalities) where there is no fast internet (at least 30Mbps) or where fast internet is already available through only one network operator. The deployment of the funded infrastructures should allow for at least 200 Mbps symmetric speed for households and 1 Gbps for companies.
