Climate Leap is an investment grant aimed at speeding up the transition to a fossil-free society by reducing greenhouse gas emissions in Sweden. The scheme is in place since 2015 and will run until 2023. Only for the period 2020-2023 will be under the Article 1(2)(a) of Regulation (EU) No 651/2014. It is managed by the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), which decides yearly on the number of calls in accordance with Section 16 of the Climate Leap Ordinance (2015: 517). The main eligibility criterion for granting funding is permanent reduction in greenhouse gas emissions per SEK invested; threshold may vary across calls. Climate Leap measures apply to all sectors and stakeholders, except private individuals. Some other restrictions apply.
