Kisfaludy Tourism Development Programme, launched by the Government of Hungary in 2017 and prolonged in 2020, is the largest umbrella scheme for tourism development and is one of the main pillars of Hungary’s National Tourism Development Strategy 2030. It aims at making Hungary a tourist centre in Central Europe with the help of a wide range of tourism development subsidies, particularly by supporting the development and improvement of the quality of existing tourist destinations, products and attractions and by reducing the spatial and temporal concentration of tourism. The programme also aims at creating a supply of high-quality experiences to attract new target groups and at improving accessibility while disseminating innovative practices within the industry.
The support scheme provides regional investment aid in the form of non-repayable direct grants. The grants are open to all undertakings active in the tourism sector regardless of their size, with a registered office, branch, head office or subsidiary in Hungary.
