Evaluation of the Kisfaludy Development Program

Abstract
The scheme SA.62013 represents the prolongation of the aid scheme "Earmarked budgetary appropriations for tourism and for the development of tourism on the basis of Decree No. 2/2018 (XII.28)” (SA.54838). The Scheme is part of an umbrella scheme (the Kisfaludy Tourism Development Program) that has as a goal making Hungary the centre of tourism within the CEE (Central and Eastern Europe) region by 2030. Under the Scheme, regional investment aid is provided in less developed regions of Hungary. The Kisfaludy Program supports the development and quality improvement of existing tourist destinations, products, and attractions, as well as the implementation of new tourism investments. It also aims to increase the supply of tourism offers outside the two most touristic developed areas of Lake Balaton and Budapest, and beyond the popular touristic period from May to September. The aid is provided in the form of direct grants, and it is directed towards enterprises of all sizes active in the tourism sector, with a registered office, branch, establishment, or subsidiary in Hungary.
